The ingredients needed to make Korean Tteokbokki (Hot and Spicy Rice Cake):
  1. Get 120 gr rice flour
  2. Make ready 1 tbsp tapioca flour
  3. Make ready 1 tbsp corn stratch flour solution
  4. Get 50 ml boiled water (approxinately)
  5. Take 2 cayenne pepper (chopped)
  6. Take 1 tsp garlic (chopped)
  7. Take 1 spring onion (chopped)
  8. Take 4 tbsp tomato sauce
  9. Prepare 1 tsp salt
  10. Take 1 tsp buillon powder
  11. Prepare Sesame (i don't use it)
  12. Get Water
  13. Get 1 tbsp frying oil

Remove the anchovies and kelp from the pot and add the rice cake, the mixture in the bowl, the green onion, and the optional fish cakes and hard boiled eggs. Stir gently with a wooden spoon when it starts to boil. Tteokbokki (떡볶이) is a popular Korean street food made of soft, chewy rice cakes cooked in a sweet and spicy sauce made of Korean red pepper paste, also called gochujang. The quality of the tteok/dduk varies quite a bit and freshly made (never frozen) is the best but if you can't buy fresh ones, defrost frozen rice cakes.

Instructions to make Korean Tteokbokki (Hot and Spicy Rice Cake):
  1. Mix rice flour and tapioca flour then add boiled water little by little 😁 then make a dough and make a long cylinder shape then cut the shape into small cylinder about 2 cm long, each)
  2. Boil the water then add salt and small cylinder dough (step 1).
  3. Add vegetable oil in a pan then fry it until fragnant. Then add cayenne pepper, salt, buillon powder, a glass of water (120 ml) and boiled tteokbokki. After that add tomato sauce and spring onion then add corn starch flour solution then stir.
  4. Keep stirring until the rice cake turns soft and the sauce thickens and looks shiny, which should take about 10 -15 minutes.
  5. Serve it hot with sesame as topping. But i dont have sesame today hiks
