Cook the stew in the oven or cook it low and slow in a crockpot. Add flour and stir until vegetables are coated, then add chicken, thyme, bay leaf, potatoes, and broth. Bring mixture to a simmer and cook until the chicken is no. Bring mixture to a simmer and cook until the chicken is no.
