The flavors come from many different types of meat like beef franks, chorizo, ham, and bacon. In some parts of Mexico they add pork rinds and beer to change the flavor up a little bit.

The ingredients needed to make Charros Beans:
  1. Make ready 1 large onion
  2. Take 4 garlic cloves
  3. Take 1 fresh jalapeno
  4. Get 4 arbol peppers
  5. Make ready 1 cubenle pepper
  6. Get 3 each cilantro sprigs
  7. Make ready 1 large large family size can pinto beans
  8. Get 1/2 can tomato sauce
  9. Take 1/2 can chipotle sauce
  10. Prepare Mexican pork skins
  11. Prepare 4 piece hot dogs
  12. Get 1 medium glass jar cactus
  13. Prepare 5 piece med thick bacon
  14. Get 4 cup water
  15. Make ready 4 tbsp chicken bullion
  16. Make ready salt n pepper

Add garlic, bouillon paste, and salt and bring to a simmer. You'll be hard pressed to find an authentic batch of Charro Beans anywhere north of the border, so it's high time to make your own! Charro roughly translates as cowboy, so these beans have always been associated with ranch lifestyle in Mexico. Instructions to make Charros Beans:
  1. Render your bacon to partially cooked in your pot, remove to side. Leave it chunky pieces about 2 inches long.
  2. Quarter your onion leaving the root so it stays intact while cooking. Mince one of the quarters. Add all to bacon grease
  3. Add jalapeno, cubenle pepper to cook couple mins
  4. Add garlic cloves and arbol peppers, cook couple mins
  5. Add your water and 2 of your tablespoons of chicken flavor, hold the last 2 til closer to finish.
  6. Chop hot dog into inche pieces, add to broth. Return bacon pieces also.
  7. Rinse cactus very well with strainer, add to pot
  8. Add your pinto beans, you dont have to drain them.
  9. Add the cilantro and last 2 tablespoons of chicken bullion
  10. Last 10 - 15 mins of cooking add the Mexican pork skins
  11. Add salt and pepper to taste at this point, you may not even need it!!!!
  12. Enjoy!!
