1. Brown hamburger in a 6 qt. pan.
2. Dice and add onions while hamburger is browning.
3. Add cans of tomato sauce and stewed tomatoes followed by 2 cans of water.
4. Then add the seasoning packets of salt, chili powder, and cayenne, but reserve the packet of masa for later.
5. Open, drain, and add all 4 cans of pinto beans last and stir.
6. Add the 1/2 teaspoon of cumin now.
7. Transfer chili to crockpot to simmer for 2 and 1/2 hours. At the end of that time, if chili is not thick enough for your taste, add masa and stir. I do not use the masa. I prefer a thinner chili. Garnish with grated cheese or fritos or serve with cornbread.

But the chili is still packed with tons of flavor. Cold weather, means it's time for a yummy bowl of goodness, Cheater Chili. Add the ground beef, stirring occasionally, until it is cooked through. Feel free to add the taco seasoning now, or after the wet ingredients are added. It makes no difference that I can taste.
